For those who cannot continue the school due to the refusal of a visa or extension of stay duration, 100% of tuition is refundable.
(documentary evidence required) - 2 When you apply for a refund, your visa (D-4) will be canceled. If a language tranining visa(D-4) holder cancels the Korean language course, the departure(return the alien registration card) or the change of status of sojourn must be completed within 14 days from the date of the application.
- 3 When a student holding a language training visa(D-4) applies for the withdrawal during the semester, the refund amount will be based on the date of the departure for home country after returning the student's alien registration card or the submission date of Certificate of Application for Permission of Stay(Visa Grant Notice should be additionally submitted after the status of sojourn is changed).
- 4 When a student holding a language training visa(D-4) applies for the withdrawal due to the transfer or admission, the refund amount will be based on the confirmation of the admission letter issued from the school for the transfer or admission.
- 5 More details beside the above are applied to the school regulations.
KLEC Refund Guide for D-4 visa students
- 6 If you apply for cancellation, KLEC reports to immigration of your cancellation request of the D-4 visa language course. Students with D-4 Visa are requested to make full(complete) departure from Korea in 15 days from the cancellation form submission date to avoid illegal stay.
- 7 Until complete departure from Korea or complete change to a visa other than D-4, your current sojourn is bound to D-4 visa (Purpose : language training) and to the school.
- 8 Therefore, KLEC’s standard date of refund is the departure date, not the date of applying for refund. So, if you depart on a later date the refund amount may be deducted to match that standard date.
- 9 As the main purpose of your current stay in Korea was approved as 'language training' non other, please be aware in advance that if you want to change the purpose of sojourn, you must first terminate your current visa.
