    • Certain medical treatment courses such as obstetrics and gynecology / anal surgery / urology / dermatology require the documents (medical record or prescription) to be identified regardless of medical expenses.

    • Excluded in cases where a person has been diagnosed or treated for a disease in the past prior to an insurance contract.

    National Health Insurance

    Guide for International Students Subscribing to Natinoal Health Insurance

    Subject A person who has obtained a language training visa (D-4-1) and has entered the country for six months
    Monthly Contributions KRW 43,490 (for those who subscribe on March 1)
    Payment Deadline The contribution for the next month is due by the 25th of the current month(prepayment)
    Payment Method Automatic transfer(account/card), NHIS branch office, bank
    Subscription Procedure No action is required from students, as they are automatically subscribed to health insurance by the NHIS.

    ※ According to Article 109 of the National Health Insurance Act, you can subsribe to the National Health Insurance only if you have completed the registration of foreigners. You are NOT eligible to enroll in the National Health Insurance until you register for foreigners after entering the country.
