  • In order to advance to the next level, students must score over 70 on the final exam in each class (speaking, reading, listening, and writing) as well as in their speaking interview.
  • The speaking grade is the average of the total scores for grammar/vocabulary, conversation, and the interview.

Attendance

  • Students must attend at least 70% of classes in order to advance to the next level or to re-register. (Total class hours : 200, 70% attendance : 140 hours)
  • Classes start on time, and three tardies or early departures will be considered as one absence.
  • Even in special cases, absences will not be counted as attendance.
    * Attendance is acknowledged for up to 5 days upon submission of supporting documents only for certain reasons, such as family celebrations or condolences to immediate family members.

Expulsion

  • According to the Administration Law of Immigration (Article 19.4), students, who are absent for more than 10 days without prior notice, are reported to the Immigration Bureau, and their registration is cancelled from that point on.
    * D-4 Visa holders : If the number of absence reaches 15 times or 10 consecutive times without notice, D-4 visa will be cancelled and student has to leave the country within 15 days. Expelled students cannot receive refunds and cannot register for next semester.
  • Re-registration is not possible if student fails the same level three times. (Applies to all failings due to low grades/attendance.)
  • Re-registration can be denied if you engage in behavior that causes harm to other students, such as a disloyal class attitude or physical/verbal violence.
  • In case of activities that are not suitable for visa purposes such as unauthorized employment and part -time jobs
  • In case of violation of other Korean laws
